I’ll get WRC8 when it hits Steam next year. Add my own experience with having a hard time getting my wheel feeling just right with all the WRC games (and VRally4) and I am not feeling any urge to go buy WRC8 as an Epic exclusive RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately based on his comments (and my own experience with WRC7 and VRally4) it probably got some Physics / FFB elements from VRally4 that I am not crazy about.

It is clearly an evolution from WRC7 (duh), with some elements of VRally4 thrown in. What I took from his comments now is that WRC8 is not a bad game, but it is not a great rally game either, within the context of the competition and what went before. He has in the past and again if you read here, made positive comments about the KT WRC series. Koly has his ways, but I have noticed between the lines that he does know what he’s talking about, balance his preference, bias and style, you will be able to get some idea of what’s going on with the rally games he’s talking about.

I refund at "EPIC Store" and I will wait for the key reseller release the 18th september at 20€, at 50€ I feel very bad to have bought it.the 30€ difference is the DR2.0 deluxe pack 2.0, I prefer DR2.0, you know it :) Saturday Rally Poland: update 8 Our eighth update from LOTOS 71st Rally Poland Saturday afternoon (SS16-20) The stages in the afternoon were a re-run of those that were used in the morning apart from the fact that the 14.90km test at ‘Baranowo’ was replaced with another run around the 2.5km Mikolajki super special. WRC 8 has no gsync support, i'm forced to play at 60hz.at 144hz the framerate fluctuates so much, impossible to keep 144fps constant.Īnd one MAJOR complain about the FFB, it misses the suspension effect, there is ZERO effect offroad, in the grass, with jumps.funny the beta testers have NEVER mentionned this.and funny the people who cry about the DR 2.0 haven't noticed, but it's obvious, the FFB is not finished at all. WRC 8 is very easy and i will come back fast to DR2.0 which more serious in everything. The rain with the bonnet cam is very fun, i think i will race only with rain, it hides the awfull graphics, and it's more challenging (even if it's very easy.) I have V rally4, and i feel the same FFB. I agree at 100% with this, WRC 8 is not at all at the DR2.0 level, but it's better than 7. it's not bad, but DR2.0 has better physics, graphics, and FFB.but WRC 8 is better than WRC 7 I have to admit. You have had some good moments with 7, I remember. More detail, I know you love to share your views. Originally posted by Simulacra_53:Hey Koly, how does it compare to 7? Everything from physics to presentation, which has also been much improved, are up to a high standard, but aren’t quite on a level to topple or even match those offered by DiRT Rally 2.0. "That’s perhaps WRC 8‘s biggest problem: mechanically, it just doesn’t stand up to Codemasters’ rally magnum opus. I "had", it's refunded, it's awfull, like WRC7, like WRC6.įor arcade players and beginners, it's for you, for DR2.0 fans, pass your way, it's awfull.Īnd the stutter, and 60hz is a noway, 2019, and they can't have GSYNC support, a shame.įor the pure rally fans, stay with DR2.0, WRC8 is a waste, like WRC7. "The force feedback works well, from the rollcage-rattling clunk of an upshift, or how you can feel the resistance of any given road surface build up in its own distinct way as you slip. (physics are too much simple and arcade, like every WRC, it's again a BIG FAIL)
